Recent ADU Projects

Located in Oceanside, CA. The Peifers were very proud of their daughter when she graduated from college. They encouraged her to live at home while she worked her first job so she could get on her feet financially. The entire family realized that everyone would be happier with a little privacy. So they contracted Ritz ADU Design Build for their garage remodel. They wanted to construct a small detached unit so their Grad could live at home, but not in the home.

Located in Poway, CA. This backyard ADU home was built on a large property with blended family. The Gill's son was getting married and this 750 sq. ft. 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom backyard ADU home was to be their future condo after the wedding. The backyard ADU was designed to match the architecture of the existing home, with 10’ ceilings, stucco walls, barrel tile roof, and interior archways at doorway openings. We worked with the son to also come up with a more contemporary feel, particularly with the kitchen and flooring materials.

Located in North Park San Diego, CA. This Backyard Rental was built in the City of San Diego. The Homeowner wanted to add some cashflow to her upcoming retirement portfolio. This gal devised a plan to build a Backyard ADU that she could rent out on Airbnb in San Diego, CA. Since her main home is in a great location, it was the perfect plan! The ADU we built for her is a 470 sq. ft. Junior ADU. This 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom design ended up being the perfect little cottage for travelers. It was ideal since it offered plenty of privacy for the guests and the Homeowner.

Located in North Park Hillcrest area. The Salvias built a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom backyard ADU with 9’ ceilings. The owner is actually in the business of developing properties and renting them for income. The day it was finished and assessed, the value was more than what she’d put into it and it was immediately rented for close to $2,600 per month.

Located in Ramona, CA on a 4 acre property, this was built for a large blended family.

The aging parents and their son sold their homes. Using the profits, the son bought the 4 acre property in Ramona with intent to build an ADU for his parents on his new property. We built this 1,200 sq. ft. ranch style ADU home on the lot.
