Serra Mesa is a neighborhood in San Diego, California, located north of Friars Road and south of Aero Drive, roughly between Interstates 805 and 15. Junpero Serra, a Majorcan Franciscan friar who built the Mission San Diego de Alcalá, shares the name with the area.


The San Diego neighborhood has 32,491 people and is considered one of California's greatest locations to live. Inhabitants of Serra Mesa enjoy urban and suburban living, with most residents renting their houses.
