Serra Mesa is a neighborhood in San Diego, California, located north of Friars Road and south of Aero Drive, roughly between Interstates 805 and 15. Junpero Serra, a Majorcan Franciscan friar who built the Mission San Diego de Alcalá, shares the name with the area.
